Responsibilities
- Become a key team player within the Financing Middle office Trade Support team providing support for the front office functions (trading, sales, COO, Prime Broker account managers and clients), operations, and finance teams in managing the front to back operational risk.
- Partnering and collaborating with internal stakeholders on a day-to-day basis to assist problem solving and improve process efficiencies / automation.
- Be able to undertake exception Management tasks using vendor platforms to reconcile products traded by the desk and PB clients daily.
- Conduct root cause analysis of break population to sustainably drive down exceptions and risk.
- Investigate and collate responses to transactional risk, P&L, settlements, confirmations and IT queries.
- Escalate, prioritise workload and resolve risk exceptions on a timely basis.
- Participate in risk review meetings with operational risk, the business and COO to review and explain key risk metrics and trending.
The Middle Office teams primary control focus is to ensure the completeness and accuracy of transactions from front end risk management systems to downstream systems. As the link between the front office, prime Broker, other operations, and finance functions, you will also be involved in regulatory, client, and process improvement initiatives as required. As a Middle Office Specialist, you\βll play an important role in managing the operational risk of the Global Financing Services business and enhancing the client experience.

Qualifications
- Ideally some understanding of Prime brokerage within a middle office and P&L control environment.
- Some understanding of risk management within an equities environment.
- Some working knowledge of finance and cash equity products.
- Good problem solving skills with the ability to analyze and provide solutions: identify and examine problems to understand them, provide solutions for remediation which are logical, reasonable, and realistic.
- Clear communication style and escalation awareness.
- Collaboration across functions to deliver strategic projects and change.
