  • Independent, proactively tackling complex analytical and execution tasks with limited supervision.
  • Collaborative, able to lead day-to-day execution across corporate broking and the full suite of investment banking products, including M&A, ECM and DCM.
  • Thoughtful, with the ability to synthesise complex analysis into clear, client-ready outputs.
  • Client focused, delivering for our clients while building relationships, both externally and within UBS.
  • A team player, contributing to team culture and developing junior bankers through coaching and constructive feedback.
  • Dynamic, comfortable running multiple workstreams across different projects, products and sectors in parallel.
  • Markets-aware, with a genuine interest in companies and capital markets, able to deliver succinct market updates, and clearly explain market movements to clients.

Your Career Comeback: We are open to applications from career returners. Our Associates are central to day-to-day client coverage and transaction execution: they help strengthen client relationships while running core analytical and process workstreams across transactions. On execution, they build and analyse financial models and valuations, produce client materials, coordinate internal and external advisers, run diligence and support negotiations across M&A and capital markets processes.

Our Associates also play a key part in delivering corporate broking advice to our clients: they support coverage of retained listed clients by staying close to markets, clearly explaining market dynamics and drivers to management teams, and bringing market context into ongoing corporate finance and strategy dialogue.

  • Corporate Broking - supporting investor relations and management teams on ongoing corporate finance and equity-market related topics, and contributing to the retained adviser dialogue.
  • M&A - executing public and private transactions, including valuation work, financial analysis, process management and materials preparation.
  • ECM - working alongside specialist teams on IPOs and equity raise processes (e.g., rights issues, accelerated bookbuilds and placings).
  • DCM / Leveraged Finance & LBOs - supporting financing analysis and execution in partnership with product teams.
  • Defence and activism planning - supporting clients in preparedness, scenario analysis and execution when required.

Your expertise:

  • a degree from a university.
  • history of academic and professional achievement.
  • financial modelling and valuation experience.
  • financial and accounting skills.
  • presentation and communication skills.
  • experience training / managing junior team members.
  • proficient in spoken and written English; additional languages are a plus but not required.
  • You’re curious to explore how AI can improve how we build, deliver, and optimize workflows. You do this with sound judgment - validating outputs and aligning with policies, risk standards, and ethical use.
