Your role
Marketing is one of the most powerful tools available to our firm to enhance our partnership with clients and build new business opportunities. Our conferences and events team provide unrivalled opportunities for relationship building and help differentiate UBS through leadership within the investment banking industry. Event Marketing (EM) supports the Investment Bank in the planning and execution of conferences, events and roadshows across EMEA. The Associate Director leads the execution of assigned conferences and client events, managing operational delivery, stakeholder coordination, and budget tracking across the full event lifecycle. The role works closely with internal partners and senior business stakeholders to ensure programs are delivered on time, on budget and in alignment with established program objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Program Leadership & Execution
- Act as lead planner and/or co-planner across a diverse portfolio of conferences and client events within the Investment Bank.
- Lead end-to-end execution of assigned programs within established scope, including venue sourcing and negotiations, contracting, timelines, budget planning and reconciliation.
- Oversee content development, speaker management, agenda creation and client experience design.
- Manage marketing materials, microsites, event communications and RSVP tracking.
- Coordinate audio-visual, event technology, transportation, VIP handling, signage, environmental design, pre and post-conference reporting.
- Oversee onsite execution to ensure seamless delivery and alignment with brand standards.
- Stakeholder & Partner Management
- Liaise with senior business stakeholders, Corporate Access, Communications, Media Relations, Compliance, and internal support functions, and external partners.
- Support investor days and institutional conferences, including 1x1 meeting logistics and client communications.
- Collaborate with Marketing Strategy partners on conference positioning and thematic content development.
- Facilitate compliance with corporate identity and global standards.
- Financial & Operation Management
- Prepare and manage multi-faceted budget forecasts and approval processes.
- Track expenses and ensure disciplined budget reconciliation.
- Utilize preferred technology platforms to manage registrations, communications, data reporting and event metrics.
- Identify operational risks and escalate as appropriate.

The team is responsible for the delivery of roadshows, conferences and events to help drive business revenues and support business, product and sector objectives. We have teams in cities across the world, covering three regions: The Americas, APAC, and EMEA.
Your expertise
- 8 – 10+ years of relevant conference or event marketing experience.
- Experience managing large-scale programs within Financial Services preferred.
- Demonstrated experience managing program budgets and operational delivery.
- Clear, confident communication and presentation skills.
- Undergraduate degree desirable.
