Responsibilities
- Supporting senior product and coverage colleagues in developing debt solutions for clients, particularly via bond buybacks and bond amendments.
- Assisting with preparing client materials with input from senior product bankers.
- Supporting deal execution by producing marketing materials, reviewing deal documentation, and adhering to internal Global Banking deal protocols.
- Tracking and maintaining deal libraries and knowledge repositories of the desk.
- Gradually take on a more independent role in deal executions; gradually take ownership of specific client situations.
- Generating trade ideas for the desk.
Your Team
You’ll be working on the Liability Management within Debt Capital Markets in London. You will work as part of a collaborative, high performing team within Global Banking, interacting regularly with senior colleagues across regions and with Treasury executives at leading EMEA financial institutions and corporates.
Your Expertise
- Analytical skills, high attention to detail and well developed problem solving ability.
- Foundation in fixed income analytics, particularly bonds.
- General numerical aptitude, advanced excel capability and experience producing high quality PowerPoint materials.
- Self starting approach with the confidence to take ownership and think long term.
- Client service mindset with a commitment to delivering creative and practical solutions.
- A collaborative working style and the ability to build effective relationships with coverage colleagues and clients.
- Organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
- Clear, confident communication skills, both written and verbal.
