Your role

Do you have an in-depth knowledge of the private credit and/or private markets space? Have you managed product development initiatives from early-stage idea to fund launch? Do you want to help us strategically develop the alternative product offering for our clients? We are looking for a Product Structuring Specialist to:

  • Help innovate and evolve the direct alternative products offering across global markets
  • Help drive and participate in the generation of new product ideas
  • Participate in and manage the product development aspect of an evolving direct private credit and real estate/private markets offering
  • Efficiently manage product lifecycle requirements in support of maintaining an efficient shelf
  • Lead product development activities including the design, product governance and implementation phases all the way to launch
  • Research the market for new product initiatives and prepare strategic product and structuring recommendations
  • Take an active role for the product roadmap and pipeline of future initiatives
  • Partner closely with Client Coverage distribution colleagues and Investment Specialists to help formulate the right solution for clients across different markets
  • Work with legal, tax, investment and operations teams to assess suitable and efficient product solutions
  • Oversee the market and product performance to identify opportunities and challenges with a view to maintaining an efficient and coherent shelf
  • Work with fund boards to affect strong and robust fund governance procedures.

Your team

You will be working in the Alternative Product Structuring team based in London. We are part of the Structuring & Client Platform function within UBS Asset Management's Client Coverage organisation. Structuring & Client Platform has a range of responsibilities including the development and management of the entirety of the UBS Asset Management direct-Alternative investment product shelf. We are primarily responsible for overseeing the alternative product offering across UBS Asset Management's Credit Investment Group and the Global Real Assets business (principally covering direct Real Estate and direct Infrastructure investments). As a product structuring specialist, you will work closely with investment, investment specialist and client coverage distribution teams to support the strategic development of the Alternatives direct‐investment products shelf, the lifecycle aspect of the shelf and the broader commercial priorities for each investment area.

Your expertise

  • 6 years'+ financial sector experience with a focus on real estate/private market funds and/or credit funds (including open-ended, closed-ended, evergreen and structured funds)
  • In-depth knowledge of global alternative investment structures and the real estate, credit competitive landscape is preferable
  • Bachelor's/master's degree in finance, accounting or related field and/or legal background
  • Several years of relevant experience with fund formation, as well as familiarity with legal, tax and regulatory issues relating to fund formation
  • CFA/ CAIA charter holder desirable (not mandatory)
  • Keen interest in the Alternatives ecosystem and market trends and innovations within Alternatives asset management
  • Proactive self-starter who has a keen eye for detail
  • Collaborative personality, with the ability to complete tasks independently
  • Ability to communicate effectively with different types of stakeholders with differing priorities
  • Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint and strong ability to manage and analyse data
  • Strong aptitude to challenge the status quo
  • Strong project management skills and an execution focused mindset
  • Fluent in English, working level German language desirable
