Your role

Are you motivated by driving the business forward? Do you know how to make sure things run smoothly? Do you enjoy managing the day-to-day progress of multiple inter-linked activities? We are looking for someone like that who can provide business-related services and support to deliver digital products for our Global Banking franchise, as well as:

  • Supporting technology project planning activities and reporting.
  • Supporting business analysis related to technology and AI pilot programs.
  • Assisting with Agile transformation initiatives for GB Tech.
  • Supporting business analysis/UAT, including requirements gathering from Bankers.
  • Working with product managers to understand and shape the value of what needs to be delivered.
  • Collaborating across technology teams to provide transparency of strategic/regulatory initiatives.
  • Identifying and tracking initiative risk and the proactive mitigation of risks.
  • Regularly communicating with Global Banking Technology Management to ensure full transparency and collaboration.

Objectives:

  • Learning about technology projects.
  • Gaining insight into the Global Banking business and COO team.
  • Contributing to the key technology strategy deliverables for Global Banking.
  • Contributing to the AI strategy and initiatives of Global Banking.

Your team

You will be working in the Global Banking COO team based in London or New York. We are a small, agile team of talented Front Office professionals responsible for strategic business planning, including the delivery of digital products to support bankers worldwide. Our team is well-suited to the curious and intellectually honest, those who are committed to working collaboratively with others to solve problems and help our business grow. We all play a personal part in the growth of the Investment Bank and deliver tangible results to our revenue targets, and your creativity and enthusiasm for new ideas will help accelerate this.

You will focus on:

  • Supporting strategic initiatives across the Global Banking technology landscape.
  • R&D such as business discovery and coordination of product pilots.
  • Initiative portfolio tracking and reporting.
  • Supporting Global Banking Technology Product management team.

Your expertise

  • Change management experience and project management skills are essential. Digital Product Management, Business Analyst, or UX Design experience is desirable but not required.
  • Previous experience within one or more of the following roles is highly desirable: Investment Bank Business Analyst or COO, Technology initiative or product manager, Management Consulting.
  • Degree qualification plus ideally at least 5 years initiative/project management experience.
  • Knowledge of investment banking products (e.g., M&A, Capital Markets, Lending) is desirable but not required.
  • Strong focus, drive, and commitment and track record in getting jobs done on time and to a high standard.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Facilitation and coordination skills with the ability to manage a busy, high-priority workload with tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; comfortable in facing off to people at all levels of seniority; good at building a network of contacts across the business, COO, and technology teams.
