Your role
Are you a strong analytical, inventive thinker, project manager and problem solver? Do you enjoy developing ideas for stakeholders, clients and investors? We’re looking for an investment banking Vice President to:
- be able to quarterback financing transactions from an internal approval and also external execution perspective building client relationships through seamless execution and also generating new ideas and creative approaches that push the business forward
- identify and meet client needs, coordinating and working alongside colleagues and issuers
- able to negotiate legal documentation
- strong credit knowledge and ability to distil complex issues to explain both internal stakeholders and external end investors
- prepare materials and present recommendations to credit committee, as well as syndication lead update calls with multiple stakeholders and drive a process forward
- assist in syndicating underwritten financing to investors, which requires deep understanding of credit risk
- manage and support the development of junior bankers
Your team
You’ll be working at VP level within the Leverage Finance team in London. Our team is responsible for originating, underwriting and syndicating debt transactions for corporate and sponsor clients as well as working with internal partners in credit risk control in assessing risk positions. You’ll play an important role in advising clients on a range of market and strategic matters, including assessment of capital structure alternatives and financing options.
Your expertise
- good understanding and hands‑on exposure to assessing credit risk, financial modelling and legal documentation
- a leadership role and lead left experience with ideally both leveraged loan and high yield issuance
- bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
- solid financial analysis skills, ability to multi‑task and lead complex projects
- ability to partner with other groups across the bank building relationships with the European Private Equity community
