Job Opportunity: Java Developer in Global Markets e-Trading

Are you passionate about developing robust and scalable core Java server systems and motivated to deliver real business value? We are looking for a candidate to join our team and contribute to:

  1. Developing next-generation algorithmic trading solutions within the Global Markets principal e-trading business, covering FX, PM, Rates, Credit, and Equities.
  2. Working within a high-performing, fast-paced quant development team, with goals aligned to business objectives.
  3. Adding meaningful functionality to grow the business and impact revenues directly.

This role is based in London within the UBS FX Options E-Trading team, focusing on the implementation of technical solutions for electronic market making in FX options. It offers exposure to algo trading projects and related technologies such as complex event processing and KDB.

The successful candidate will participate in the full SDLC, from analysis to implementation and support, collaborating closely with trading desks and global teams in London, Zurich, and Pune.

Your Expertise

  • Strong server-side Java development experience with concurrency skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience with agile SDLC, TDD, Git, and CI/CD practices.
  • Ability to work iteratively with trading desks as part of a global team.
  • Understanding of derivatives or trading is beneficial.
