We are seeking an accomplished and strategic Employment Lawyer to join our EMEA Employment Legal team. This role is ideal for a legal professional with experience navigating complex employment matters across multiple jurisdictions, and an ability for delivering pragmatic solutions in a dynamic, international environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert legal advice and guidance on a wide spectrum of employment issues across the EMEA region, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Strategically manage and oversee employment litigation and dispute resolution, including instructing external counsel where necessary.
- Partner closely with Human Resources and senior business stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor on all aspects of the employment lifecycle.
- Identify, assess, and proactively mitigate employment legal risks, contributing to the development and implementation of robust risk management strategies and policies.
- Collaborate on global initiatives and cross-border projects with colleagues in Switzerland, APAC, and the Americas.
Qualifications / Your Expertise
- Qualified solicitor or barrister with post-qualification experience in employment legal matters, ideally gained within a leading law firm and/or in-house environment, including exposure to UK and EMEA employment law.
- Proven track record advising on complex employment legal issues, including litigation management and cross-border matters.
- Exceptional ability to translate legal advice into practical, business-focused solutions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the gravitas to influence senior leaders.
- Strong organizational skills, with the capacity to prioritize and manage a diverse caseload effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strategic thinker, proactive problem-solver, and collaborative team player.
- Experience of working for and/or advising financial services organizations.
