Your role as a Financial Planner involves providing financial planning advice to UBS Wealth Management UK clients. You will work as a specialist alongside UBS client advisors, supported by a team of Paraplanners and Administrators to efficiently execute advice and provide excellent client service.

Global Wealth Management offers comprehensive financial services to wealthy private clients worldwide, benefiting from the entire spectrum of UBS resources, including investment management, estate planning, corporate finance advice, and specific wealth management products and services.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand clients' long-term financial objectives.
  • Provide holistic financial planning advice to clients.
  • Deliver a high level of technical expertise and client service.
  • Ensure all advice complies with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial markets, products, and legislation.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, client advisors, and other stakeholders.
  • Attend client meetings alongside client advisors.
  • Prepare and complete meeting notes and follow-ups.

As a Financial Planner, you will be part of the Financial Planning team, based in either our London or Edinburgh offices.

Your expertise:

  • Chartered Financial Planner.
  • FCA-authorised and regulated, with a valid Statement of Professional Standing (SPS).
  • Significant previous experience as a financial planner for high net worth and ultra high net worth clients with diverse backgrounds and professions.
  • Excellent technical knowledge in every area of financial planning.
  • Able to work through complex situations with clients and explain clearly and concisely.
  • Very good sales expertise and strong commercial focus.
  • Strong risk focus and excellent understanding of the regulatory environment.
  • Knowledge of cashflow modelling software would be desirable.
