We are looking for someone who wants to:
- drive the development of the strategy of UBS Group and its divisions on a global, country, channel and product level, together with the respective businesses
- support the decision making of our internal business partners on senior management level
- conduct industry, competitor and benchmarking analyses
- design operating models and processes for specific markets and business segments
- prepare and coordinate business plans including financial modelling
- develop implementation roadmaps of strategic initiatives
- support M&A projects from a strategic perspective (rationale, financial opportunity, due diligence, etc.)
- be open to do cross-divisional strategy projects/rotations as opportunities arise
Your team
You’ll be working in the Group Strategy team in Zurich or London and coordinating with members of the Chief Strategy Office around the world. The Chief Strategy Office is a team of motivated professionals who bring a diverse international background. We are responsible for formulating and executing best in class vision and strategy, facilitating group and business level strategies and driving multi-functional projects and initiatives for the firm globally.
Your expertise
- a top tier University education, preferably focused on corporate strategy, finance, or structured problem solving
- 1-4 years professional experience within a top management consulting firm or an equivalent in-house corporate development position, preferably with a focus on financial services
- strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills to clearly articulate sophisticated concepts, ideas, and processes
- entrepreneurial spirit who can work well cross-functionally in a diverse environment on multiple projects
- independent thinking (constructively challenging the status quo) coupled with a proven ability to work with others and generate impact in a team environment
- well-developed strategic thinking ability with commercial market awareness and business acumen
- disciplined organization and topic/project management skills
- high level of energy, initiative, discipline, tenacity, and self-motivation
- highest level of integrity and professionalism
- understanding of the key drivers of banks’ valuation and economic performance is a plus
