As a VFX Artist on the Rainbow Six brand, you’ll create stunning visual effects that enhance the player experience. You’ll deliver smoke, fire, explosions, falling snow, and waterfalls that immerse players and often leave them amazed: “How did you do that?” You’ll combine creativity with technology, adapt to a variety of tools, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand key features and add life to our AAA games.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement and integrate real‑time visual effects into the game.
- Collaborate with artists, designers and engineers to meet production goals and quality standards.
- Maintain and improve VFX pipelines and documentation.
- Contribute to the creative vision and technical direction of the Ubisoft brand.
Qualifications
- Photo‑realistic portfolio or showreel of real‑time VFX work.
- Proficiency with Maya or 3DS Max and working knowledge of Photoshop.
- Experience in modelling, texturing and image processing.
- Understanding of lighting, composition, colour theory and basic vector math.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a hybrid environment (3 days per week in Newcastle‑Upon‑Tyne).
