As a Senior VFX Artist on the Rainbow Six brand, you'll bring passion, excitement, atmosphere and explosivity to a game through the creation of stunning effects. Alongside your eye for detail, you'll enjoy mentoring, knowledge sharing and taking ownership of features and systems.
You will deliver visually impressive moments that positively enhance the player experience. Be it smoke, fire, an explosion, falling snow, or a waterfall, every one of your effects will accent the immersive game world and often will have people wondering, “How did you do that?”
As a tech‑savvy artist, you’ll combine technology and creativity to make the magic happen. You’ll be able to adapt to a variety of tools while relying on your core talent to create and integrate impactful, high‑quality, real‑time visual effects. You'll enjoy collaborating with art, programming and design teams to understand key features and elements where the addition of visual effects will add life to the games our players know and love.
As a Senior VFX Artist, you'll work closely with other artists, offering guidance and support, as well as supporting your lead and relevant teams to establish pipelines, processes and workflows. As a natural collaborator and communicator, you’ll help motivate the team and take pride in knowing your work plays a key part in the Rainbow Six legacy.
What you'll bring:
- A photo‑realistic portfolio/showreel of your best work, consisting of real‑time VFX elements.
- Experience of modelling, texturing, and image processing.
- Working knowledge of Photoshop.
- Proficient in 3D software, such as Maya or 3DS Max.
- Ability to give, receive and apply feedback constructively.
- Understanding of basic vector math and art fundamentals (e.g. lighting, composition, colour theory).
- Desirable experience with proprietary/in‑house engines.
