As an Expert Animator, you’ll play a key role in shaping animation practices across the studio, acting as a recognised authority within your discipline. You will champion animation excellence for the Rainbow Six brand and the wider organisation, defining standards, improving workflows, and supporting teams in delivering high-quality, scalable animation systems. Alongside your strategic influence, you will contribute directly to the creation of complex and high-impact animation assets.

Your expertise in hand-keyed and motion-capture animation enables you to tackle technically demanding work, resolve challenging animation problems, and set the quality bar by example. By leading through craft, your work will help establish visual benchmarks and guide teams in delivering consistent, high-quality gameplay animation across characters, weapons, and other gameplay elements.

Working closely with Directors, Technical Leaders, and cross-discipline teams, you’ll help translate creative vision into cohesive animation standards across features, including characters, weapons, and gameplay elements. Through research, feedback, and innovation, you will identify opportunities to improve pipelines and raise the overall quality of animation output.

This role extends beyond production. You will contribute to studio-wide initiatives, support multiple projects where needed, and help shape the long-term direction of animation within a globally recognised franchise. Your influence will support collaboration, strengthen craft knowledge, and elevate animation quality across the studio.

What you’ll bring:

  • A portfolio/showreel that demonstrates solid fundamentals of human kinetics.
  • Ability to translate mocap across a variety of game genre styles (photorealism, fantasy, stylised etc).
  • Mastery of industry-standard 3D software, such as 3DS Max or Maya.
  • Highly proficient in MotionBuilder.
  • Ability to mentor Artists and Animators.
  • Strong understanding of game engines, both proprietary and commercial.
  • Experienced in full development life-cycles within a gameplay environment.
  • Evidence of process & documentation of your work.
