The Project Management Lead will manage a team of Project Managers, taking responsibility for their overall output and delivery, escalating where needed and trouble shooting to provide the best service to our customers.

You will also manage your own projects for multiple client website projects within the team. The role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work collaboratively with designers, developers, and Content, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and team management.

This is an ideal role for someone who is keen to take the step and lead by example in a Project Management Lead role.

You will be responsible for:

  • Work with the Production Director to manage the design team’s workflow, ensuring the rhythm is efficient and productive.
  • Taking accountability of your team’s schedules, working with the PD to ensure that schedules are kept updated and that where changes happen everyone in the project is updated.
  • Making sure that your teams output and their overall quality in role is consistent, through escalations, monitoring and quality assurance where needed
  • Leading the team of Project Managers; taking ownership of their output and delivery against departmental KPIs.
  • Training and onboarding new PMs in accordance with the project process.
  • Monitoring use of internal systems and note-keeping.
  • Running 1-1 weekly meetings with Project Managers in addition to the weekly team meeting - providing guidance and support on project questions, and keeping the team updated with process changes or other announcements.
  • Hiring for new Project Managers, as well as monitoring the performance of team members.
  • Ensuring scheduling is monitored and updated, supporting the Production Director to ensure timelines are met.
  • Supporting the Production Director with onboarding new clients at the initial stage of the project.
  • Working with cross-departmental Managers to support the implementation of new processes and initiatives.
  • Act as the initial escalation point for minor to moderate issues; both client-facing or internal.
  • Leading on project management documentation and implementation of new processes.
  • Work with the Production Director and team leads across Creative, Content and Development to ensure work is scheduled in accordance with project priorities.
  • Retain ownership of your own reduced project portfolio; successfully delivering projects with high attention to detail ensuring strong customer satisfaction.

Application requirements:

  • Experience in Project Management or closely related customer-facing service delivery roles.
  • Experience in web/digital/software environment.
  • Demonstrated history of building and maintaining positive client relationships
  • Experience in managing internal delivery teams/contributors.
