We’re looking for an experienced and approachable Employee Relations Business Partner to join our friendly People team. You’ll provide expert HR and ER support across all Ubico locations, with a particular focus on our three Wiltshire depots. No two days will be the same; you’ll be supporting a range of people‑related matters, always with a practical and supportive approach. You’ll work closely with managers, helping them find the right solutions and ensuring we handle situations fairly, consistently, and in line with best practice.
Reporting directly to the Head of People, you’ll work closely with the Employee Relations Business Partner for Gloucestershire & West Oxfordshire to deliver a consistent, high‑quality ER service across regions. You’ll also play a collaborative role in providing cross‑regional support during periods of absence or peak demand.
We’re looking for an experienced and proactive Employee Relations Business Partner to join our People team. This is a key role providing expert HR and ER support across all Ubico locations, with a primary focus on our three Wiltshire depots in Calne, Trowbridge and Salisbury. There’s flexibility around your base location, but this is a hands‑on role, so regular travel to our Wiltshire sites is essential.
We’re keen to hear from people who are:
- Experienced in Employee Relations or HR Business Partner roles
- Confident handling a variety of ER matters
- Great at building relationships and influencing others
- Practical, proactive, and solutions‑focused
- Happy to travel regularly as part of the role
You will need GCSEs (5 A–C grades or equivalent, including Maths and English) and CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent experience), with a commitment to achieving CIPD Level 7. A sound working knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice and the ability to apply this knowledge. Experience of working in an Employee Relations role, or extensive case experience in a more generalist HR role. A strong influencer, able to get the right balance of coaching, advising and persuasion into every interaction. Ability to deal with sensitive situations in a diplomatic manner using professional judgement.
