We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Operations Supervisor to join our Street Cleansing team in Gloucester. Reporting to the Contract Supervisors, you will play a key role in ensuring street cleansing operations are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard across multiple teams.
This is a varied and hands‑on role that combines operational supervision, people management, health and safety compliance, and performance monitoring. You will provide leadership and guidance to site operatives, ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and contractual obligations.
The successful candidate will be confident managing frontline operational staff, responding to challenges in a fast‑paced environment, and maintaining high standards of service delivery. You will also support other operational departments, including waste collection and grounds maintenance, as required.
You will need:
- Experience working within an environmental services organisation.
- Experience managing multiple frontline operational teams.
- Knowledge of environmental legislation, including waste management and COSHH.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- GCSEs (Grade A-C / 9-4) or equivalent, including Maths and English.

About Us: We provide vital environmental services across Gloucestershire and West Oxfordshire – keeping communities clean and green. Our work includes waste and recycling collections, street cleansing, grounds maintenance, building cleaning, managing recycling centres and maintenance of our fleet.
