About The Role

The Technical Operations team within Uber Advertising functions as the crucial link between the Global Advertising Operations, Sales, Product, and Engineering organisations.

As a Technical Operations Manager, you will provide essential technical implementation support and strategic guidance for our most sophisticated advertising products and priority advertisers.

This individual contributor role is ideally suited for professionals adept at resolving complex strategic, operational, and technical challenges for the world's foremost advertiser brands.

We are committed to understanding, innovating, and scaling cross-functional workflows, quantifying process impact, and enhancing business efficiency through consistent execution, while developing data-driven advertising products.

  • What You’ll Do
  • Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and creative departments to synchronise technical capabilities with client prerequisites and campaign objectives.

Partner with internal and external technical and developer teams to facilitate communication, prioritisation, analysis, and resolution of client challenges.

  • Liaise with engineering, product, and data teams to integrate ad technology platforms, APIs, and third-party tools into existing workflows.
  • Coordinate project timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder alignment to ensure smooth execution of integration and onboarding processes.

Analyse and troubleshoot highly complex technical integration problems and propose effective solutions.

  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of all technical touchpoints, including ad products, site operations, and third-party partners.

Offer technical support for campaign issues and discrepancies, including new product quality assurance and testing, and support for platform defects.

  • What You’ll Need
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in adtech or a comparable technical operations role and exposure utilising SQL for querying and analysing extensive datasets.

Knowledge of Ad Tech business fundamentals, encompassing the strategic application of technologies to achieve business objectives and the capacity to translate business vision into a coherent technical strategy while considering financial implications.

  • Demonstrated success in the management and optimisation of digital advertising campaigns across various platforms, including DSPs, SSPs, and ad servers with experience in cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Data Science teams.
  • Deep understanding of publisher monetisation technologies for Display, Video, and Audience extension.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e. g., Python, Java Script) or/and coding (e. g., HTML, CSS).
  • Possesses an analytical, data-driven mindset with proven expertise in data modelling.
