Uber Direct is our Delivery-as-a-Service product, enabling restaurants, grocers, and retailers to offer last‑mile delivery to their customers through their own app or website by leveraging Uber’s delivery network. We are seeking a proactive, strategic, and detail‑oriented Strategy & Operations Manager to improve the billing and invoicing experience for merchants, reduce operational friction, and drive scalable solutions in partnership with Product, Engineering and Account Management teams. What the Candidate Will Do
- Work closely with Product and Engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle to assess operational feasibility and support successful rollout of new products and features.
- Partner with Account Management teams to identify pain points in the billing and invoicing experience and develop scalable operational solutions.
- Drive process and tooling improvements that reduce manual effort, improve accuracy, and increase operational stability.
- Bring structure to ambiguous operational challenges and help shape longer‑term improvements through operational insights and executional rigor.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders including Product, Engineering, Finance, Collections, Operations, and Commercial teams to improve merchant experience.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in strategy, operations, product, program management, or business consulting in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and cross‑functional stakeholder management skills, with excellent written and verbal communication.
- Experience working on billing, invoicing, payments, or other merchant‑facing operational processes.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, influence cross‑functional stakeholders, and drive process or tooling improvements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong understanding of merchant experience and ability to improve workflows in ways that reduce friction and increase trust.
- Self‑starter mindset with a strong desire to learn, grow, and take ownership in ambiguous environments.
