About the Team

Uber Advertising’s vision is to provide the most marketplace-centric advertising, connecting Uber's platform users (eaters, riders, and general consumers) with advertisers. A place where users can go anywhere and get anything. Uber Advertising’s platform brings together its mobility and delivery channels, enabling advertisers to engage with our consumers throughout the entire marketing funnel - from awareness to purchase, loyalty, and advocacy among Uber users.

We are building out the next phase of Uber Advertising to step change the growth across core regions and enable merchants and brands to reach and convert a highly engaged, global user base across its Mobility and Delivery platforms.

About the Role

Uber operates in the UK and Ireland with an accelerated growth trajectory and outlook. As Head of Uber Advertising Sales, UK & I, you are responsible for managing and growing a world-class sales and account management organization that will drive advertising revenue across Mobility & Delivery ads products to accelerate Uber’s bottom line and topline growth. You will also be responsible for the strategic direction and scaling of Uber’s UK & I Advertising Sales business, with a focus on hyper-growth.

To meet the needs of our ambitions, you will be required to grow and optimize the team's structure, attracting and retaining diverse talent in Ads Sales and Account Management. You will partner with regional and local leadership to align on business coverage, revenue targets and KPIs.

Based on a deep understanding of advertisers’ needs, you'll drive revenue by demonstrating the value that our Ads platform will bring to advertisers. You will be responsible for building and growing C-Level advertising relationships with our advertisers and agencies. You’ll also serve as the external and internal spokesperson for Uber Advertising in UK & I.

Working cross-functionally, you will help contribute to the product roadmap by articulating market-specific product needs across Uber Ads surfaces and formats, ensuring we build a best-in-class customer and advertiser experience. To be effective, you'll need to build close relationships and tight alignment with operations, sales, strategy, business development, product & engineering, finance, and legal.

This role will report to the Head of Sales for Uber Advertising EMEA.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage and develop a high-performing, diverse sales and account management organization responsible for delivering advertising revenue across Uber Ads surfaces.
  • Act as spokesperson for Uber Advertising with PR and IR, or internally.
  • Develop and execute Ads sales strategy that enables teams to exceed revenue targets.
  • Partner with regional and local leadership to align on structure, revenue targets, and KPIs.
  • Work with Global Partner Solutions and Regional Comms to develop scalable sales collateral, B2B events marketing, and a PR plan.
  • Collaborate with Ads Platform, Product Eng, and Product Ops teams to inform local market ads surfaces/inventor and pricing needed to enable advertisers to adopt audiences across advertiser goals of awareness, trial, and conversion.
  • Collaborate with functions and Uber lines of business to deliver on revenue targets and long-range plan.

What You’ll Need

  • 15+ years of advertising experience in an Ads platform within a marketplace business or mobile app.
  • 10+ years of experience leading a sales team - preferably Digital Advertising Sales.
  • A combination of working in complex organizations and/or fast-moving, smaller ventures.
  • Proven track record of building and managing a multi-million dollar advertising business.
  • Leadership and Management that fosters high performing teams and strong collaborative culture.
