About the Role
Uber Advertising connects brands and merchants with millions of consumers across Uber's global Rides and Eats ecosystems.
Through high-impact in-app ad formats, sponsored listings, vehicle media, and programmatic advertising solutions, we help advertisers drive brand awareness, engagement, and conversion at key moments of intent.
As a Business Development Representative, you will play a critical role in driving growth by identifying prospective advertisers and brand partners, uncovering their marketing objectives, and generating qualified opportunities for our advertising sales organization.
This role goes beyond high-volume outreach.
You will research strategic accounts, engage senior marketing decision-makers (such as CMOs, Heads of Media, Brand Managers, and Agency Executives), and partner with Ads Client Partners, Ads Team Leads or Heads of Industry, and Marketing to build pipeline across a wide range of industries and verticals.
You will also use modern sales technology and AI tools to improve the quality, personalization, and efficiency of your work.
This opportunity is designed for an ambitious, intellectually curious professional who wants to build a strong foundation in digital media and ad tech sales, and develop toward becoming an Client Partner or sales leader in advertising.
This is a hybrid role, with in-person collaboration in our offices on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays in our London office.
- What You’ll Do
- Generate qualified new business opportunities through strategic outbound prospecting to brands, agencies, and merchants.
- Research and engage target organizations and brand advertisers through cold calls, personalized emails, Linked In, social selling, and other creative channels.
- Identify high-potential accounts, map key marketing decision-makers and agency buying personas, and develop tailored engagement strategies.
- Qualify inbound & outbound prospects through consultative conversations that uncover marketing goals, media budgets, target audience needs, timing, and potential campaign value.
- Lead high-level conversations with marketing leaders and clearly communicate the unique value of Uber Advertising's first-party data, audience reach, and multi-surface ad formats.
- Deliver a consistent volume of Sales Qualified Leads that convert into advertising pipeline and revenue opportunities.
- Partner with Client Partners to develop account plans, refine campaign messaging, and execute targeted sales strategies for top-tier brand and agency prospects.
- Use AI and sales technology to accelerate research, personalize outreach, analyze campaign performance metrics, and improve sales workflows.
- Track key performance indicators and maintain accurate account, contact, and activity data in Salesforce and other sales platforms.
- Share market trends, agency insights, and advertiser feedback with Sales and Marketing to improve targeting, messaging, processes, and the overall prospect experience.
- Basic Qualifications
- 1-3 years year of full time experience in business development, sales development, outbound prospecting, or another results-oriented customer-facing role.
- Bachelor's degree
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
- Strong listening, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Comfort working with technology, data, performance metrics, and evolving sales processes.
- Self-starter mentality, resilience, coachability, and a strong sense of ownership and urgency.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience or demonstrated interest in digital advertising, media sales, ad tech, retail media networks (RMN), or agency partnerships.
- Demonstrated success with cold calling, personalized email campaigns, Linked In, or other outbound channels.
- Experience engaging senior marketing leaders, brand managers, or navigating agency structures and buying committees.
- Familiarity with Salesforce, Linked In Sales Navigator, Zoom Info, Apollo, and other sales / AI tools.
- Experience in advertising, media, or a competitive environment, with long-term interest in becoming a Client Partner or sales leader in advertising.
