Sales Onboarding at Uber is where the journey begins for our earners and merchants, and your role as an intern is to make sure that first step is seamless but also set in reality. In our Delivery business, you aren’t just processing documents; you are the architect of a three-sided marketplace, connecting Eaters with their favourite Merchants and Couriers. You are the gatekeeper of quality and the first human connection for those looking to build their livelihood on our platform.
The pace is intense, the volume is high, and the stakes are real from neighbourhood restaurants to grocery stores, you help power local commerce at global scale. You’ll thrive here if you have an owner’s mindset and a healthy dose of grit. This isn't a role where you wait for a playbook; it’s one where you help us find a better way to move partners through the funnel faster without sacrificing safety or compliance.
What You’ll Do
- Navigate the path of moving a delivery partner or merchant from sign-up to their first order, identifying and unblocking friction points in real-time.
- Own the integrity of our platform by meticulously reviewing and verifying identity and business documents, ensuring every delivery partner meets Uber’s high standards for safety.
- Communicate with clarity and empathy across multiple channels to turn a merchant's or courier's confusion into a clear plan of action, keeping the delivery ecosystem moving.
- Analyze funnel data on a weekly basis to spot trends in drop-offs whether in food delivery or new verticals like groceries and suggest practical, efficiency-boosting changes.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, and Support teams to resolve technical blockers and coordinate smooth launches for new partners in a hyper-local environment.
- Identify and elevate system bugs that impact the "ground truth" of our 11,000+ cities, ensuring the delivery experience remains reliable even under pressure.
- Adapt to shifting priorities and evolving delivery policies in a dynamic environment where you must balance speed with accuracy.
Basic Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program (e.g., Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, Operations, Data Analytics, or related fields), with graduation by early 2027.
- Available for a full-time, 6-month internship starting 6th July 2026 or 7th September 2027.
- Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, including data extraction and analysis.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Open to exploring full-time opportunities with Uber following the internship in case a role becomes available.
Preferred Qualifications
- A "Go Get It" attitude with a proven track record of taking independent action to solve problems.
- Systems thinking mindset—the ability to see how a courier onboarding delay impacts the balance of the entire three-sided delivery marketplace.
- Resilience and the ability to stay calm and productive when market dynamics shift or volume spikes.
Ready to ride? Uber's mission is to reimagine the way the world moves for the better. Here, bold ideas create real-world impact, challenges drive growth, and speed fuels progress. This isn't the kind of place where you follow a playbook—it’s where you help write one. If you’re driven by impact, energized by challenge, and ready to shape how the world moves, this is the place for you.
Benefits and Work Environment
- Compensation: You will be eligible for various stipends, Uber credits, and other internship-specific perks.
- Office Culture: Offices remain key to collaboration. Unless approved for full remote work, interns are expected to be in-office at least Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
- Inclusion: Uber is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer. We value diverse perspectives and provide reasonable accommodations for candidates with disabilities. Please let your recruiter know if you require any specific assistance by completing this form.
