The predicted salary is between 50000 - 65000 £ per year.
This is a key role within the Engineering Department that may require working shifts. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, monitoring and controlling all production activities to ensure vessel compliance is maintained and vessel modifications/projects are completed on time and within budget. This role acts as the key link between the engineers and technical teams.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Previous experience as Production controller/planning role in the transport sector.
- Marine engineering experience/knowledge.
- Familiarisation with the management of ISM compliance.
- Familiarisation with the IMO High Speed Craft Code.
- Computer literate.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Adhere to all Health and Safety regulations, including best working practices and housekeeping for an engineering environment.
- Compliance of the UBTC fleet of vessels through effective planning.
- Vessel Appearance by planning tasks for Vessel Appearance teams, days and nights.
- Vessel availability ensuring the maximum capacity is available for our customers whilst maintaining compliance at all times and ensuring vessel appearance is of the highest standards.
- Lead and motivate the production controllers, delegate tasks, and provide training as required.
- Develop a suite of KPIs that assist in identifying areas to focus on and assist in driving improvements and efficiencies into the Engineering and Vessel Appearance teams.
- Work closely with the technical teams to ensure defects are planned in to work packs to ensure all high priority defects are cleared within 30 days.
- Assist with general engineering departmental functions including but not limited to holiday cover duties for other members of the Engineering support team, Centrik and Stock System.

- Undertake any other relevant duties or reasonable request as requested by the HOD and any member of the senior management team.

LOCATION AND TRAVEL
This role is based in London (Trinity Buoy Wharf and Tilbury dock) with occasional travel to other facilities within our network, key suppliers and shipyards.
