Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that your teams and you comply with all Health and Safety regulations and safe working practices as required by current legislation and the Company’s Health and Safety Policy and practices.
- Provide support to the activities at Thames Clipper’s stores sites to ensure a safe and effective working environment under the direction of the Engineering Purchasing Manager.
- Maintain the stores and outside areas in a tidy, clean condition ensuring accurate stock levels are maintained.
- Undertake driving duties and deliveries/collection of equipment between Thames Clippers facilities and contractors' premises subject to holding the appropriate licence.
- Provide feedback to the Dry Dock Refit Site Manager on activities to ensure continuous improvements in standards, efficiency and safety.
- Take responsibility for managing the stock control system for the Trinity Buoy Wharf and Tilbury Stores including booking in and issuing stock from storage areas and maintaining storage areas in a clean, tidy and organised condition.
- Follow the requisition process to ensure minimum stock levels are maintained, new items are appropriately established and one-off parts are processed through the stores to point of use in an efficient and timely manner.
- Manage goods inwards and outwards according to procedures to ensure a timely and efficient process.
- Operating the crane at Trinity Buoy Wharf both to transfer stock and to assist engineers with life raft changes and other lifting operations.
- Implement and manage a proactive routine of stock level checks to confirm stock on hand retains accuracy with the levels shown on the system.
- Undertake any other relevant duties or reasonable requests as requested by the HOD and any member of the senior management team.
