This role works in close collaboration with the Engineering Team to deliver safe, efficient vessels to our operations team.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Qualified electrician or electrical engineer
  • British standards of Wiring Regulations compliant or similar
  • Relevant working experience of 12V, 24V, 415V 3-Phase systems
  • Working knowledge of engine driven power generation system
  • HVAC Experience

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure that your teams and you comply with all Health and Safety regulations and safe working practice as required by current legislation and the Company’s Health and Safety Policy and practices.
  • Assist Senior Marine Engineers to supervise and coordinate all engineers on shift to ensure the most effective and efficient service.
  • Drive technical development of the vessels and facilities to ensure the most effective and efficient operation.
  • To service and maintain all electrical systems on board UBTC vessels and engineering facilities.
  • Ensure all faults and works/repairs are logged and reported as appropriate in our compliance system.
  • To ensure that all UBTC vessels' electrical systems are fully safety checked in line with the company policy and statutory legislation.
  • Ensure all UBTC craft are kept in service and fully operational wherever possible, by ensuring effective and efficient maintenance is always carried out by prioritising maintenance where possible during quieter periods.
  • Carry out planned and unplanned maintenance on vessels as required including reasonable requests for additional support when needed.
  • Work with the senior engineering team to define, implement and review technical improvements to the fleet and engineering facilities, providing full technical analysis and reporting as required and defined by Head of Engineering and Vessel Appearance.
  • Undertake any other relevant duties or reasonable request as requested by the HOD and any member of the senior management team.

LOCATION AND TRAVEL

Located at Trinity Buoy Wharf working variable hours on a shift pattern, including night shifts and at our Dry Dock, in Tilbury, as required.
