Rayo, part of the UBDS group, is seeking an AWS Cloud Architect with deep expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS) to support architectural design and technical strategy across complex, secure cloud environments. This role involves ensuring robust, scalable, and secure solutions are delivered in line with the AWS Well-Architected Framework and client objectives. The successful candidate will bring strong leadership, the ability to engage stakeholders, and a mindset for continuous improvement and innovation. This position is suited to architects who can operate across both delivery and strategic advisory domains, particularly in regulated or public sector settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and review cloud architectures using AWS best practices, ensuring alignment with client goals and compliance frameworks.
  • Support technical leadership across project lifecycles, from inception to deployment.
  • Support architecture governance, including assurance reviews and architectural decision records.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation, including automation, AI integration, and cloud cost optimisation.
  • Engage with stakeholders to shape cloud strategies and technical roadmaps.
  • Lead architecture and discovery workshops with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of architectural standards and reusable patterns.
  • Ensure designs meet security and compliance requirements, including ISO *****, ISO ****, ISO *****, ISO *****, and Cyber Essentials Plus.
  • Collaborate with delivery teams to guide implementation and maintain architectural integrity.
  • Experienced in designing and reviewing AWS solutions using the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
