As a Senior Cloud Engineer specializing in Microsoft Azure at UBDS, you will be a critical player in empowering our clients through innovative cloud solutions. You will leverage your expertise to build, manage, and optimize cloud infrastructure while enabling businesses to achieve their strategic goals. In this role, you will be responsible for deploying new services, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring high-performance and scalable solutions within Azure.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage highly available and secure cloud infrastructure solutions on Microsoft Azure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and develop scalable cloud solutions that meet business needs.
- Support migration of existing applications and infrastructure to Azure, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using tools such as ARM templates, Terraform, or Bicep.
- Monitor and optimize cloud services performance, security, and cost effectiveness.
- Provide technical support and expertise to clients, solving complex problems swiftly and effectively.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Azure features and services, and proactively integrate relevant enhancements into client architectures.
- Document architecture solutions, best practices, and standards for cloud infrastructure.
About You
- Proven experience in cloud engineering or cloud architecture, with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
- Strong knowledge of Azure services, including compute, storage, networking, and security.
- Experience in managing cloud environment resilience and disaster recovery strategies.
- Hands-on experience implementing and managing security best practices in Azure.
- Familiarity with DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and related tools such as Azure DevOps.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in cloud environments.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A desire to stay current with emerging cloud technologies and innovations.
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate are a plus.
