Key responsibility to lead on all regulatory reporting and the delivery of the Bank’s strategic regulatory documents (ICAAP, ILAAP and Recovery and Wind-down plans and other strategic prudential documentation and regulatory review processes for the Bank).
Responsibilities
- Managing all the Regulatory Reporting for UBA UK including preparation, review and submission to PRA, FCA and Bank of England returns on a monthly, quarterly, annually and ad-hoc basis (LCR, ALMM, PRA110, COREP, FINREP, NSFR, AE, Large Exposure, Leverage Ratio, BT, EL, CC, CL, FSA017, PRA108, PRA104-107, SMMA).
- Managing the automation and implementation of all Regulatory Reporting.
- Preparation and maintenance of detailed reconciliation reports for each regulatory report.
- Project lead for Basel 3.1 implementation.
- Point of contact for regulators and internal stakeholders.
- Maintaining regulatory reporting policies, processes, and controls in full compliance with internal and external standards.
- Assist the Finance, Treasury and risk teams with capital, liquidity and exposure matters and stress-testing.
Prudential Reporting
- Responsibility for delivery of ICAAP, ILAAP, Recovery and Resolution planning, Solvent Exit Analysis, Pillar 3 Disclosures and other strategic prudential documentation.
Governance and Risk Management
- Oversee compliance with all Governance and Risk management requirements.
- Reporting and reviewing activities required by the regulated entities are carried out to required standards.
- Advise on the application of regulatory requirements, assess the impact of new regulations and provide on-going support, ensuring Executives, the Board, and relevant Committees are fully aware and understand the implications of all applicable regulatory developments.
Operational Excellence
- Review current processes and oversee implementation and development of systems and internal controls to required standards.
Qualifications
- Technical
- In-depth knowledge and experience of Regulatory reporting including CRR2 and CRD IV reporting Framework.
- EBA, PRA and FCA Regulations and UK Companies Act and relevant legislation.
- Key regulatory documents (ICAAP, ILAAP etc).
- Accounting rules and industry standards including IFRS.
- Finance Function in a financial institution.
- Financial planning, forecasting, budgeting and data analysis.
- Financial reporting and management information provision.
- General
- Experienced in Regulatory Reporting with over 5 years working in the regulatory reporting environment.
- Appropriate IT Skills to run reports and review data mapping on regulatory reporting software.
- Banking experience, particularly in an African Institution.
- Stakeholder management and cross functional engagement.
