About the role
Due to continued growth in the School, we are seeking to appoint two Lecturers in Accounting (Teaching Focussed) to contribute to the delivery and development of our undergraduate and postgraduate curriculum. You will take a leading role in teaching financial or management accounting, with delivery expected across both on-campus and distance learning formats. You will supervise dissertations, support curriculum innovation, and engage actively with academic leadership and quality assurance.
You will be expected to engage in scholarship and professional practice to underpin teaching excellence. There will be opportunities to contribute to enterprise and income-generating activity, support the School’s administrative and leadership needs. As a core member of a growing department, you will help sustain our high standards of student support, programme design, and pedagogical advancement, while enhancing the visibility and reputation of the School regionally and globally.
About you
You will have recognised expertise in either financial accounting or management accounting, supported by a completed or near-completed PhD, or membership of a recognised professional accounting body such as ICAEW, ICAS, ACCA or CIMA. You should demonstrate recent teaching experience in accounting at undergraduate or postgraduate level, as well as a commitment to high-quality, innovative pedagogy. An understanding of distance learning and experience of dissertation supervision will be advantageous.
