We are searching for a candidate to help develop new features and functionality for high transaction online gaming websites. You will be required to produce robust, clear and polished code to tight time-scales. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly-motivated Java developer to be involved in the delivery of new customer products and/or customer roadmaps. The candidate will be a key member of an agile development team comprising a Product Manager (Application Specialist), Client developers and Testers.
You will have good interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a wide range of personalities, both internal and external. You will be expected to work with all aspects of the business (teams, test teams, service desk and trading) on a wide range of technical projects. The role will leverage cutting edge technologies to deliver betting opportunities and odds via an automated platform.
You will be involved in:
- Proposing and implementing technical solutions by developing and maintaining Java-based components and interfaces.
- Defining technical objectives by analysing user requirements and proposing system features and functionality.
- Determining design methodologies and tool sets; completing programming using languages and software products; designing and conducting tests (using TDD).
- Integrating applications by designing database architecture and server scripting; establishing connectivity with network systems, search engines and information servers.
- Creating development solutions based on best practice; contributing to team meetings; troubleshooting development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms.
- Supporting customers (internal and external) by developing documentation and assistance tools.
REQUIREMENTS you will have:
- Multi-threaded programming
- 3+ years experience
- Spring framework
- Hibernate
- Proficiency in Java debugging
