HGV Class 2 Driver
LOCATION β Heywood, Manchester
Monday β Friday β (40 hour working week with O/T option)
We are currently recruiting for an HGV C2 Driver to join a family run business who specialise within distribution of Insulation and Dry Lining Materials.
Our drivers play an integral part in the day to day running of our business. Therefore, itβs important that our customers get their deliveries on time, every time. Our drivers provide a timely, friendly, and dependable delivery service to our customers.
Responsibilities
- Driving our HGV on pre-planned routes
- Ensure that the vehicle is road worthy by carrying out appropriate checks on a routine basis.
- Ensure that the vehicle is driven and maintained in an appropriate and courteous manner and in line with legislation, health and safety guidelines and company policy.
- Report any vehicle defects immediately to line/branch manager.
- Ensure that tachograph and other essential documents are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Build effective working relationships with customers.
- Responsible for ensuring all orders are correctly loaded onto the vehicle in line with health and safety procedures and proper documentation is completed prior to departure in order that goods can be tracked.
- Ensure that delivery notes have correct signatures as per company policy.
- Actively safeguard against theft of company goods or property by always being security conscious.
- To perform any other duties as may be deemed necessary or as may be required by the company.
Qualifications
- Hold the correct valid licence
- Driver Qualification Card (DQC)
- Positive and can-do attitude
- Willingness to support other members of branch staff with Warehouse/Yard or any other duties.
Desirable
- Experience of multi-site deliveries
- Moffet experience is ideal but not essential however full training can be provided for someone that does not have this experience
