Location: Heywood, Manchester
We are looking to recruit a full‑time experienced Credit Controller. Working closely with the Credit Control Manager, this hands‑on role will contribute to the U Value Insulation Finance team. The role focuses on our distribution business and includes tasks such as:
- Credit report checks
- Cash sales management
- Aged debtors’ reports
- Expense analysis
- Assisting in driving timely and accurate data, processes and controls
Key Responsibilities
- Set up new accounts for customers on Intact
- Post & allocation of payments
- Communicate with customers via phone and email regarding payments and ensure any outstanding debt is paid
- Issue credit notes for cash sales / discount rebates
- Issue end of month statements
- Upload invoices and credit notes
- Debit notes treatment
- Major debtor remittance & treatment
- Issue major consolidated debtor statement
Requirements
- Proven extensive experience in a Credit Control / Accounts Receivable role
- Results driven with a proactive "can do" attitude
- Ability to handle a large volume of transactions and tight deadlines
- Thrives in a busy, challenging and demanding environment
- Ability to find positive solutions while balancing stakeholder needs
- Open to challenging the status quo
- Strong attention to detail to ensure completeness and accuracy of information
- Strong computer and analytical skills; knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Works independently with initiative
- Valid driver’s licence
