As a Driver Supervisor you will dispatch routes, manage a fleet, and run your own routes. We are looking for a dedicated individual to deliver exceptional customer service while driving a box truck, and ensuring safe loading and unloading. This role is vital in supporting our mission of providing quality products to the automotive industry, contributing to our commitment to excellence and reliability.
The schedule for this position is Monday - Friday 5:00 am - 3:30 pm or until job is complete. Schedules are subject to change based on business needs, and may require overtime.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES- Provides leadership to assigned personnel through effective goal setting, performance reviews, delegation, and communication.
- Conducts interviews, hiring and training as necessary.
- Supports the safety programs to ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain a safe working environment for all associates.
- Assists with process improvement initiatives.
- Conducts regular meetings to ensure that personnel are well informed of policies and procedures.
- Ensure excellent customer service and communication.
- Ensure drivers are completing all required daily paperwork:
- Driver hours log (when needed)
- Pre-trip inspection sheet
- Driver's vehicle inspection report
- Daily vehicle mileage and fuel report

Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk, hear, taste and/or smell; the employee must occasionally lift products weighing up to approximately 80 pounds. Handling of tires (e.g., rolling, destacking, team lifting) greater than approximately 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Protective equipment required: steel or composite toe boots, safety vest, harness, seatbelt, SRL (self-retracting lifeline). All equipment is provided by U.S. AutoForce except for steel / composite toe boots.
Work environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Fumes associated with tires and occasionally car parts and lubricants prevalent.
QUALIFICATIONS- 21 years or older (mandatory company policy).
- 3 years of related experience.
- Skills and experience sufficient to supervise drivers and material handlers.
- Knowledge of state and federal DOT regulations.
- Knowledge of or ability to learn computer systems.
- Willing to work overtime or flexible hours on short notice.
- Good memory and scanning abilities.
- Good communication and math skills.
- Able to lift up to 80lbs.
- Ability to follow safe operating procedures.
- Ability to be trained and use forklifts and high reach lifts as needed.
- Requires valid driver's license and good driving record.
- Valid DOT Medical Card or the ability to obtain DOT Medical Card per DOT/FMCSA guidelines and requirements during the hiring process.
