Trinity House works for the benefit and safety of all mariners as a General Lighthouse Authority and maritime charity. Our people are central to our reputation as a leading maritime organisation, as is our commitment as an employer to developing the skills, capabilities and potential of our workforce.
We are looking for a Payroll Assistant to join our People and Culture team for a fixed term period of 12 months. During this time, you will support in the day-to-day payroll administration activities, such as processing the monthly payroll and serving as a first point of contact for queries and resolutions.
Alongside these duties, this role will support our exciting new HR, Payroll and LMS system implementation; working with the People Systems Manager to create documentation, prepare data for migration into the new platform and conducting testing ready for the launch across Trinity House.
We’re looking for someone who has:
- Proven payroll administrative experience
- Strong IT skills including Excel
- Excellent administrative, numerical and organisational skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to be responsible for their own workload and enjoys working as part of a team
