We are seeking an enthusiastic and technically capable IT Cyber Security Analyst to join our IT team on an initial 2-year fixed-term contract.
Working closely with the IT Cyber Security & Infrastructure Managerand senior technical colleagues, you will help protect the organisation's ITenvironments by monitoring cyber threats, maintaining security controls, andsupporting incident response and cyber resilience activities.

You will contribute to strengthening oursecurity posture through vulnerability management, security monitoring, CyberEssentials compliance, and the continuous improvement of cyber securitypractices across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitorand respond to cyber threats and incidents.
- Managevulnerabilities, security testing and remediation.
- SupportCyber Essentials, SIEM, MDR and Darktrace.
- Reviewfirewalls, security controls and configurations.
- Supportincident response and disaster recovery.
- Adviseon secure systems, procurement and suppliers.
- Promotecyber security awareness and best practice.
- Participatein the out-of-hours support rota.
What are we looking for:
- Experience in a cyber security, infrastructure and IT support functions.
- Good understanding of cyber security principles, networking and security best practice.
- Experience with vulnerability management and incident response.
- Familiarity with firewall technologies, preferably Check Point; endpoint protection, preferably Sophos and security monitoring tools.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical colleagues.
- Experience with Microsoft 365, enterprise networking and Operational Technology environments would be advantageous.
- Relevantqualifications or certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Certified Ethical Hacking,ITIL Foundation or equivalent are desirable.
