The Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) practices in Medical Service-Acute to provide a full range of services emphasizing quality, timeliness, and the advancement of the Veterans Affairs (VA) mission. The NP provides advanced clinical practice, consultation and management.

The Department of Medicine at the VA Northeast Ohio Healthcare System is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner (NP) interested in an Acute Medicine position working in our Community Living Center (CLC) Admiral Point neighborhood/unit. The CLC is a 174-bed post-acute care facility that provides Veterans with skilled nursing care, skilled physical and/or occupational rehabilitation, and dementia care. The Admiral's Point unit is a 14-bed unit that provides such care for residents with advanced respiratory needs (chronic respiratory failure - excluding mechanical ventilation, tracheostomies, laryngectomies, advanced heart failure, pulmonary hypertension, etc.).

Primary responsibilities include comprehensive medical care of residents as part of their interdisciplinary team, including but not limited to the following:
