Defense Finance and Accounting Services (DFAS) mission is to lead the Department of Defense (DoD) in finance and accounting by ensuring the delivery of efficient, exceptional quality pay and financial information.

Duties:

  • Provides technical support and guidance to staff in matters relating to cyber workforce implementation, sustainment and management.
  • Maintains extensive knowledge of the information systems and requirements necessary to support implementation and management of the cyber workforce.
  • Develops and maintains strategic plans to support existing and future cyber workforce program initiatives, needs and processes.
  • Conducts cyber workforce assessments and provides recommendations to support current DoD-I 8140 transition, and evolution, in support of growing the DFAS cyber workforce program.
  • Assesses policy needs and develops policies to govern cyber workforce implementation, sustainment and management activities.
  • Provides policy guidance to IT management, staff, and customers.

Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S Citizen or National.
  • Background or Security Investigation - Position Sensitivity and Security Levels may vary and is dependent upon position being filled.
  • Registered for Selective Service (males born after 12-31-1959).
  • Suitable for Federal employment.
  • In accordance with the DoD 8140 policy series, the position is subject to completing Foundational Qualifications in 9 months and completing Residential Qualification requirements in 12 months.
