We are seeking a Senior Employment Law Counsel to support our Europe employment law function and partner closely with HR and business leaders across multiple European jurisdictions. This is a senior role for an experienced employment lawyer who enjoys operating at pace, managing complex employee relations matters and providing pragmatic, commercially focused advice in a regulated environment.

What you’ll do:

  • Advise HR and managers across Europe on a broad range of day-to-day employment law issues including grievances, disciplinaries, performance management, redundancies, restructurings, employee exits and TUPE‐related matters.
  • Provide employment law support on projects, organisational change and transformation initiatives across Europe.
  • Coordinate external legal advice, where needed, and translate this into clear, actionable guidance for HR and the business.
  • Support the development and ongoing review of employment contract templates, HR policies and risk mitigation approaches.
  • Build trusted relationships with HR teams and senior stakeholders, acting as a practical business partner.

What we’re looking for:

  • Qualified lawyer with 8+ years’ experience in employment law.
  • Strong in‐house experience (highly preferred), ideally within the financial services sector or another regulated sector.
  • Experience advising across multiple European jurisdictions.
  • Comfortable managing high‐volume, complex matters with minimal supervision.
  • Commercial, pragmatic and confident working with stakeholders at all levels.
