Job Description

U.S. Bank Global Corporate Trust Services is one of the largest providers of corporate trust services in the world. Our clients look to us for trustee, agency, escrow, document custody and money market issuing services via our 48 domestic offices and three international offices. We are currently hiring into our market leading CLO business and into the CLO Analytics team.

The team is one of the most client facing teams in the business and the CLO Analyst role is dynamic, fast paced and offers a good mix of analytical and calculation-based activities in addition to engaging with our clients, dealing with investor queries, rating agencies and numerous internal teams to ensure the highest client service levels are delivered.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for developing value added partnerships with Relationship Management and Deal Administration to assist in client deliverables and improving defining process and techniques to improve efficiency and delivery.
  2. Responsible for ongoing transaction deliverables including Waterfalls, Investor Reports, Hypothetical test trades.
  3. Calculate various portfolio statistics, ratios and thresholds for use in hypothetical trading scenarios and periodic reporting.
  4. Read and interpret trust indentures with regard to reporting requirements and create technical report specifications from indenture language.
  5. Set up payment calculations in a variety of in-house systems.
  6. Receive, map and reconcile periodic collateral data.
  7. Liaise with business partners (Technology, Legal, Compliance, Trustee, Relationship Management, Deal Admin and Sales) to ensure highest client service levels in compliance with US Bank standards.
  8. Provide innovative client solutions.
  9. Use SQL and other software to manipulate the considerable amount of collateral-related information maintained in the US Bank database.

Experience and Key Skills Required:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, accounting or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  2. 2-3 years of relevant work experience preferably with direct experience working with CLO’s, alternatively knowledge of syndicated bank loans, fixed income securities, securitization, or debt capital markets.
  1. Strong problem-solving skills.
  2. Experience working with Financial Models would be advantageous including advanced Excel skills.
  3. Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and to interpret data.
  4. Ability to perform multiple tasks and meet established deadlines in a dynamic working environment with minimal supervision.
  5. Market awareness.
  6. Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  7. Building and maintaining partnerships both internally and externally / client centric approach.
  8. Documentation review skills.
  9. Strategic thinking.
  10. Complex analytic transaction skills.
