About the Position

This is a military technician position with the 99th Readiness Division, Area Maintenance Support Activity (AMSA) 90 located in Richmond, Virginia. This position requires an active membership as a Soldier in the Army Reserve before a start date can be set.

Duties

  • Repair small weapons by replacing obsolete parts and/or assemblies.
  • Analyze unit deficiencies to determine required organizational training.
  • Use hand tools to make repairs and adjustments.
  • List repairs on appropriate forms to indicate needed repairs.
  • Perform two level Preventative Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) to include periodic gauging.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires active membership as a Soldier in the U.S. Army Reserve (USAR).
  • This position requires a valid State Driver's license.
  • This position is subject to the Lautenberg Amendment/ Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968.
  • This position requires a pre-employment physical.
  • This position requires a Personnel Security Investigation.
