Duties include performing a full range of simple cooking tasks by preparing and cooking items that require little or no processing such as pancakes, sausage, eggs, hamburgers, and fresh or canned vegetables. Responsibilities also involve preparing hot cereals, broiled meats, concentrated or dehydrated soups, sauces, gravies, and cold sandwich fillings. Additional tasks include preparing convenience items such as frozen hash browns, fish fillets, chicken nuggets, and baking pizza. Food preparation involves peeling, chopping, grinding, cutting, slicing, dicing, pureeing, dredging, flouring, or breading; weighing, measuring, and assembling ingredients for regular menu items. The role requires setting up and replenishing the salad bar, portioning foods for distribution, covering, dating, and storing leftovers according to established procedures, and washing and cleaning kitchen equipment.

The position also includes assisting a full-service coffee bar, preparing a wide range of drinks such as lattes, espresso, cappuccinos, and following specific cappuccino requirements like preheating portafilter, selecting proper grind, pulling and tamping shots, frothing and steaming milk. Additional responsibilities involve performing receiving and disbursing cashier duties, setting up the cappuccino bar for operation, and preparing documentation for cash funds accountability. The role assists in the operation of the Bowling Center by assigning lanes, arranging rentals, charging participants, and checking equipment condition on return.

Requirements: Complete a background investigation with favourable results.

Qualifications: Experience and knowledge of methods and procedures relating to food preparation and presentation gained in a grill, snack bar, restaurant, club, or similar food activity. Ability to follow oral and written instructions, work safely, and perform simple arithmetic. Knowledge of operating and cleaning food service equipment, characteristics of various foods, and ability to season food and determine when foods are done. Physically able to frequently lift objects weighing up to 40 pounds and continuously stand, walk, stoop, reach, push, pull, and bend for long periods.

Education: No substitution of education for required experience; education qualifications do not qualify for this position.
