Base pay range

$20.00/yr – $20.11/yr

Duties

The purpose of this position is to provide assistance to automotive personnel and customers, perform routine automotive maintenance, and assist in Tire and Lube Center operations. Responsibilities include maintenance and repair of automotive engines, parts, and accessories, troubleshooting, and vehicle inspections. Operates equipment such as tire changers and engine tune-up tools. Assists with issuing, receiving, and storing automotive parts and equipment. Provides customer service, including advice, quotes, and inspections. Manages tools and equipment accountability, assists in inventory, and ensures safety and security of supplies. May operate government vehicles for roadside assistance and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Complete a background investigation with favorable results.
• Satisfactory completion of a pre-employment physical.
• Valid US Driver’s License and 3rd AF license.
• Subject to random drug testing.

Qualifications

Open to everyone. Must demonstrate knowledge of vehicle operations, systems, and repair manuals. Experience with automotive testing equipment and manual reading is required. Education cannot substitute experience for this role.
