Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble food items such as sandwiches, paninis, fruit, and salad bowls, which includes slicing bread, meat, cheese, washing and dicing fruits and vegetables, and cooking breakfast items (eggs, bacon, sausages) on a flat grill.
- Operate a limited coffee and beverage service, preparing hot drinks (cappuccinos, brewed coffee, lattes, espresso, hot chocolate) and serving cold beverages and snack items.
- Receive payments, operate the cash register, and provide accurate change.
- Set up and maintain the work area, clean and organize tables, replenish condiments, and manage dishwashing operations with preventative maintenance and cleaning tasks such as scraping, soaking, and scouring dishes and utensils.
Requirements
- Complete a background investigation with favorable results.
- Complete food handler training within 30 days of appointment.
- Provide evidence of a pre-employment physical examination.
- Be at least 16 years of age at the time of application.
- Work evenings, weekends, holidays, and/or special events as required.
Qualifying Experience
- Follow simple oral instructions and use hand tools for food preparation and cleaning.
- Operate simple machines and perform tasks that involve several steps with sound judgment.
- Follow cash handling procedures and understand sanitation standards for food and beverage service.
Eligibility and Preferences
- Applicants must be U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or legal residents. Preference may be given to those who meet specific criteria such as military spouse or veteran status.

- Substitution of education for experience is not allowed for this position.
Additional Information
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a pre‑employment selective service registration.
