We are currently looking for a Product Manager – Portfolio & Projects to join us at one of our facilities in Wellingborough (UK). We are looking for a strategic and commercially driven Product Manager – Portfolio & Projects to join the Global Product & Platform team within Axalta’s Automotive Refinish division. In this role, you will lead a diverse portfolio of global projects, shaping product strategies aligned with customer needs and business growth. Working closely with Technology, Marketing, Sales, and key customers, you will manage existing products while driving the development and launch of new solutions across international markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Development & Execution
    • Collaborate with Technology, Marketing, Commercial teams, key customers, and Supply Chain to develop and launch new products using the StageGate process.
    • Partner with Regulatory and Compliance teams and the in-house studio to deliver compliant and impactful product artwork.
    • Contribute to the definition of business cases, value propositions, and pricing strategies.
    • Gather market insights and customer feedback to drive continuous product improvement and innovation.
  • Management of Existing Product Portfolio
    • Own and develop an existing product portfolio by monitoring performance and driving necessary adjustments.
    • Ensure ongoing compliance with local regulations in collaboration with Regulatory teams.
    • Support product lifecycle management, including rationalization and product deletions with Supply Chain and Commercial teams.
  • Project Management
    • Lead cross-functional projects (e.g. complexity reduction, packaging development) from initiation to delivery, within agreed timelines and budgets.
    • Conduct data analysis and market research to support decision-making.
    • Provide regular updates to stakeholders via Salesforce and project review meetings.
Key requirements
  • 2–3 years’ experience in Product or Project Management (B2B or B2C).
  • Relevant degree (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, with good IT proficiency.
  • Experience managing stakeholders and driving complex projects.
  • Understanding of technical products or industrial environments.
  • Strong project management and execution capabilities.
  • Positive, adaptable, and proactive mindset.
  • Results-driven with a solid commercial mindset.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Analytical thinker with strong attention to detail.
  • Highly organized, able to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
  • Comfortable working in a global, matrix organization and leading cross-functional collaboration.
