We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Technical Application Technician to join us at our facility in Wellingborough to support teaching, research, and practical learning activities. You will play a key role in preparing and delivering hands-on demonstrations, assisting students, customers and maintaining technical equipment in a safe and effective learning environment.
Key responsibilities:- Prepare and deliver technical demonstrations to support lectures, workshops, and lab sessions
- Set up, test, and maintain laboratory or workshop equipment
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting during practical sessions
- Support the development of teaching materials and demonstration resources
- Maintain inventory and order supplies as required
- Practical experience working with technical equipment or within laboratory environments, combined with a strong hands-on and detail-oriented approach
- Previous body shop experience would be advantageous
- Strong problem-solving skills with excellent organizational abilities and a proactive, adaptable mindset
- Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to a range of audiences, supported by strong interpersonal skills
- Experience supporting teaching, learning, or training activities is desirable
