The Royalty Analyst plays a key role in supporting the end-to-end royalty accounting and reporting cycle for global brand licensing programmes. This role combines financial accuracy, analytical insight, and stakeholder management to ensure timely and compliant royalty reporting across multiple clients and regions. It offers exposure to both commercial and operational aspects of a dynamic licensing business, with opportunities for professional growth within the finance team.
The Role
Client Reporting
Facilitating the timely collection & processing of royalty statements / sales projections from Licensees, ensuring accurate invoices of royalties are raised and shared with Licensees
Ensuring client payments are accurate, complete and sent in a good timely manner, as well as fulfilling IMG’s reporting obligations as per Client Representation Agreements
Monitoring receivables and liaising with IMG’s Credit Control and Licensing Commercial teams to achieve timely collection of royalties
Assisting with internal financial queries as well as those from licensees, clients and auditors when required (e.g. process structure, required documentation, calculation breakdowns).
Accounting
Monitoring and providing analysis on overhead cost.
Posting month-end journals, including revenue / cost accruals, bad debt provisions and write-offs.
Performing reconciliations and assisting with monthly management reports as required (COS and G&A analysis, reserve analysis, revenue variances).
Finance Reporting
Assisting the senior finance team with preparing quarterly royalty projections and analysis.
Continuously seeking for process improvements.
Other Responsibilities
Providing absence cover for other members of the Finance Team.
Supporting the Finance Team with ad-hoc analysis and reports.

Experience of Finance Business Partnering, and Accounting / AP / AR experiences
Japanese or Mandarin speakers
Training, Skills and Abilities
Degree level or equivalent
Strong interpersonal skills; ability to communicate well with a broad spectrum of international and domestic clients.
High attention to detail, accurate and analytical. Ability to work under pressure and prioritise workload.
High level of numeracy.
Intermediate to advanced MS excel skills (e.g. VLOOKUPs, SUMIFs etc.)
