Supply Teachers

U-Educate is seeking passionate and adaptable Supply Teachers to support schools in Portsmouth and the surrounding areas.

We offer ad hoc daily supply work as well as short and long-term placements, allowing candidates to find the right balance to fit their lifestyle and career goals.

Supply teachers play a crucial role in ensuring continuity of learning when permanent teachers are unavailable. Whether covering planned absences or stepping in at short notice, supply teachers help maintain high educational standards and provide students with the support they need. This role is ideal for teachers seeking variety, professional growth, or a flexible work schedule.

Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver engaging and effective lessons across various subjects and year groups as required.
• Follow lesson plans provided by the school and adapt where necessary to meet student needs.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively to maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
• Provide feedback on student progress to school staff as required.
• Uphold school policies and values, ensuring a consistent learning experience for students.

Requirements:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience working in a secondary or primary school setting.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students effectively.
• Flexibility and reliability to accept short-notice assignments.
• A positive and professional attitude towards teaching and working with schools.
• An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one before starting work).
