We are currently looking for an active, energetic Learning Support Assistant to join a secondary PRU in Southampton. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys activity-based learning and working with young people who benefit from a hands-on, engaging approach.

The role:

  • Supporting students through practical, activity-based and outdoor learning
  • Working with pupils who display challenging behaviour; confidence and resilience are key
  • Building positive relationships and acting as a strong role model
  • Supporting emotional regulation and engagement in learning
  • Working closely with staff to create a safe, structured and supportive environment

The ideal candidate:

  • Active, sporty, or enjoys physical activity
  • Confident managing behaviour and not easily phased
  • Calm, patient and consistent
  • Experience working with young people (PRU, SEN, youth work, sports coaching, or similar is desirable)
  • A genuine passion for supporting students who need it most
