U-Drive are recruiting for a competent and diligent vehicle technician to join our established and highly reputable team at our Poole workshop! Working alongside a professional and knowledgeable team, you'll undertake a variety of service, maintenance and repair work on a wide range of vehicles, keeping our Fleet on the road.
About The Role
As a vehicle technician at U-Drive, you'll be based at our Poole workshop, helping to keep our mixed fleet of 4000 vehicles on the road. These vehicles range from small cars through to light commercial vehicles meaning that no two days will be the same. You'll be working a 42-hour week on a Monday-Friday rota.
Core Responsibilities
- Undertake pre-planned vehicle maintenance on both customer and U-Drive vehicles
- Perform test drives, inspections, and other diagnostic tests on vehicles to identify where problems exist and determine which parts need to be repaired or replaced
- Complete preventative maintenance on vehicles including oil changes and replacing brakes
- Generate timelines and estimates on repairs, discussing options with customers
- Maintain accurate records relating to customers, their vehicles, parts, and service history
- Use workshop equipment as instructed, performing regular maintenance and repairs when required
- Any other duties as required
