About the Role

This is a brand-new role created to support the continued growth and success of our Financial Services division. As Performance & Development Manager, you will play a vital role in developing both new and experienced Mortgage Advisors, ensuring they have the skills, confidence, and support to thrive. From delivering engaging onboarding programmes to coaching established advisors, you will work within our Training & Competency (T&C) framework to drive performance, improve customer outcomes, and embed best practice across the business. Working closely with Area Mortgage Managers, the Financial Services Director, Training Manager and Compliance team, you will help create a high-performing, customer-focused culture where people are empowered to succeed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive onboarding and induction programmes for new Mortgage Advisors.
  • Coach and develop existing advisors to improve performance, productivity, and protection penetration.
  • Conduct observations, KPI reviews, development reviews, and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) support in line with the T&C framework.
  • Support branch integration and help embed new recruits into the business.
  • Share best practice and identify opportunities to improve sales performance and customer outcomes.
  • Produce performance insight, reporting and recommendations to support management decision-making.
  • Build strong working relationships with Area Mortgage Managers, the Financial Services Director, Training Manager and Compliance teams to ensure consistent standards across the region.

About You

You will be passionate about developing people and helping individuals achieve their full potential. You will be confident coaching others, providing constructive feedback and driving continuous improvement. You will also bring:

  • CeMAP qualification (or equivalent).
  • Previous experience in coaching, learning and development, onboarding, or performance management, ideally within Financial Services.
  • A sound understanding of the Training & Competency (T&C) framework.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities.
  • The confidence to influence and support colleagues at all levels.
  • The ability to travel extensively across Surrey, Sussex, and Hampshire.
  • A full UK driving licence.
